Microsoft always charges a lot of bucks for the new versions of Windows or any new software or product they bring in the market to grab attention of consumers. Recently an event took place which was hosted by Microsoft where the company announced that the users who are using Windows 7 and 8.1 can upgrade to Windows 10 for free without even paying a single penny. However there is a catch and that is you can use Windows 10 for free for 12 months after the launch of the software. This will allow users to experience the latest version of Windows which will later on bring profits to the company.

Coming to Windows Phones, all the Windows Phone 8.1 devices will get a free upgrade to Windows 10. Microsoft announced that there were more than 600 million users who upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and we think Microsoft is trying to pull the same thing with Windows 10. We are not sure how Xbox is going to work out with Windows 10 but we can only hope for the best. So if you are using Windows 7, 8.1 or a Windows Phone 8.1 device get ready for a free upgrade to Windows 10.
