Everything you need to know about Windows 9

It has been two years that Windows 8 has been launched and Microsoft has been providing numerous updates to the operating system for better stability and performance but still after all these updates the results are not satisfactory. Rumors are already in the air about the next version of Windows operating system i.e. Windows 9. We gathered pieces from here and there and compiled them all together and this is everything what you need about the next version of Windows operating system Windows 9.

What will it look like?

The first question which will strike your mind might be how Windows 9 will look like. Not much has been reveled about the looks of the Windows 9 but it is confirmed that windows 9 will get the old style Start menu which is a relief.

Desktop

All the computers will get a desktop view with the Windows 9. The metro style Start Screen is completely replaced with the Start Menu. Once you click on the Start menu you will get all the applications in tiles and you can expand them across the entire screen.

Mobile Version

The next mobile version of Windows 9 will only be able to run market place such as the ones which are available for Windows mobile. It will come with a Windows 8.1 Notification center most likely. As per the rumors with the time passes by Windows Phone will be merged with Windows RT.

How much would it cost?

If we talk about the price of Windows 9 it might come free for you considering which version of Windows you are running right now. Other than that Windows 9 will be available at a cheap cost. As per rumors if you are running on Windows 8.1 you can upgrade to Windows 9 by only paying $20. Microsoft is also planning to give attractive offers to the users who were using Windows XP.

The users who are using Windows 7 might have to pay higher amount as compared to the ones using Windows 8 or 8.1. Microsoft makes most of its profit by selling copies of Windows Operating System.

Launch date?

You won’t be able to grab your hands on your copy of Windows 9 anytime sooner. The expected launch is spring 2015. However there is no official announcement of the launch date of Windows 9. The rumors about Windows 9 started taking place even before Windows 8 was out. Rumors started getting strong from the month of January this year. It is expected that the BUILD version of Windows 9 will hit by April next year but still there is no official announcement made by Microsoft till yet.
